WHAT'S YOUR PLANT NAME?
Chamaedorea Elegans
TELL US ABOUT THE CONDITIONS YOUR PLANT IS IN, YOUR PLANT CARE ROUTINE, AND YOUR PLANT CONCERNS.
My plant usually gets sunlight during all day, approximately 2 meters away from the window. I've had her for 5 months, watering it once per month, and yes, the potting mix dries out between waterings. I haven't fertilized her. She's showing symptoms of dry leaves.

GENEROSA DIAGNOSIS AND ADVISE
Regarding your Chamaedorea elegans, it is a very beautiful plant, but not easy to keep happy in our homes! It's quite itchy, as it doesn't do well when it doesn't have the ideal conditions to be happy. Let's do it by steps:
1. Light
It seems to us that you are giving her good light conditions. This is a plant that likes lots of light throughout the day.
2. Watering
This may be the point that is lacking. With light coming in throughout the day, watering once a month may not be enough for her needs. Allow the surface (2-3 cm) of the soil in the pot to dry between waterings, but ensure that the inside always maintains some humidity. The leaves that have dried are most likely due to poor watering management.
3. Air humidity
If you say that the room where she is in is humid, then it will be happy. However, if it is cold or has sudden temperature fluctuations, it may suffer. Make sure you don't have heaters or air conditioning running near your plant.
Â
WHAT YOU CAN DO
1. Leaves that have already dried out will no longer look good again. You must cut them all at the base. It will be a little "plucked" but you will have to be patient until new leaves appear. You can also cut the dry brown ends. You will see that your Chamaedorea elegans will look more beautiful.
2. Use our PLANT FOOD organic liquid fertiliser to keep her healthy and resistant to changes in temperature and air humidity, as well as fluctuations in watering. You should spray her leaves (or use it when watering) every fortnight. 5 drops of concentrate per 100 ml of water. You can and should use our Plant Food on all your plants, every two weeks, to keep them looking beautiful and healthy.
